Welcome to Rose Gold k9s

I’m Amanda Rose, the founder and namesake of Rose Gold K9s. My career with dogs began in 2014 as a dog walker, where I quickly advanced into leadership roles including Daycare Director and Kennel Manager at a large boarding facility. Driven to expand my skills, I began a part-time dog training internship in 2015 under a master trainer, laying the foundation for my professional training career.

During my internship, I was exposed to a wide range of training disciplines, including German-style IGP (Schutzhund), aggression rehabilitation, and personal and family protection. While these areas shaped my technical abilities, I discovered my true calling in puppy raising and matching. I fell in love with puppy development and the intentional process of raising and preparing dogs—particularly service dogs—for long-term success. This passion has been the focus of my work ever since.

While completing my internship, I worked nights in general practice and emergency veterinary medicine, which enhanced my understanding of canine health, stress, and behavior. This experience allows me to approach training with a well-rounded perspective, recognizing how physical and emotional well-being directly impact learning and development.

In 2020, I completed my internship and was hired by the facility where I trained. I remained there to further refine and enhance my training skills, gaining valuable hands-on experience across a wide range of dogs and behavioral needs. In 2023, I took the next step in my career and opened Rose Gold K9s, bringing together years of experience, education, and passion into my own training program.

Today, Rose Gold K9s is built on ethical training practices, early development, and creating thoughtful, lasting matches between dogs and the people and roles they are meant to serve.

My approach

My dog training program is designed to help you build a stronger, more meaningful bond with your dog. My hybrid approach focuses not only on teaching your dog the necessary obedience skills, but also on teaching you the training skills needed to bridge the communication gap between you and your dog. I believe true obedience should function in real life—not just on a training field. Whether you are raising a new puppy, working through behavioral challenges, or training a service dog, my goal is to equip you with practical, usable skills that fit into your everyday life.

I place a strong emphasis on education, empowerment, and ongoing support—especially for those who rely on service dogs. I understand that no two clients are the same, and no two dogs are either. I approach each team with empathy, recognizing the unique challenges, disabilities, and assistance needs of every individual I work with. My training plans are fully tailored to the dog, the handler, and the home environment, ensuring that the training is functional, sustainable, and realistic for your lifestyle.

I work with a wide range of individuals with varying disabilities and assistance needs, and I am committed to being honest, open, and adaptive throughout the training process. Clear communication, transparency, and flexibility are essential to building trust and long-term success.

My training method is reward- and relationship-based balanced training. It is important that expectations are clear and understandable for both the dog and the handler. When everyone is communicating the same way, learning becomes easier, confidence grows, and dogs are genuinely happy to engage in the work.

It’s easy for a trainer to take the leash and make a dog listen—but it takes skill to put the leash in your hands and have the dog respond as if you trained them yourself. My mission is to give you that skill.

If your dog doesn't like the trainer find a new one

Remy went through my puppy class as well as full on and off leash obedience. I haven’t seen him in about a year and a half and this is the reunion I came back to. He still remembers me and he loves me the same way he did when we were working together.

Dog training is about establishing a relationship with a bond. How is the dog going to listen to you if they don’t know who you are, if they don’t trust you, if they don’t respect you and eventually if they don’t, love you.
When training is done right it creates a beautiful unbreakable bond. This is the goal I strive for this is the picture I want to create for every dog owner.  If your dog isn't excited every time they see the trainer than you need to find another one.
